I was sold on the option of tracers, or if you had coloured paper that the photocopier could handle, there were originals for that option. I used a combination of both (tracer for the hat). We live in Western Canada where there aren’t Cardinals, however we do have Blue Jays, somewhat similar in shape, so on our snowman’s hat is a Blue Jay. The kids had no problem putting the craft together and loved the wing, they only needed guidance for applying the beak.
